  • EQ Solicitors Regulation

Our service is registered with The Law Society of England and Wales. It is authorised and regulated by The Solicitors Regulation Authority

SRA number - 422932.

The firm is not authorised by the Financial Services Authority under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. However we are able in limited circumstances to offer a limited range of investment services to clients because we are members of the Law Society. We can provide these investment services if they are an incidental part of the professional services that we have been engaged to provide. Examples would be after the event insurance policies in personal injury cases or indemnity policies in conveyancing transactions.

Sometimes the areas of work we offer involve investments. As we are not authorised by the FSA we may refer you to someone who is authorised to provide such advice. We can provide certain limited services in relation to investments, provided they are closely linked with the legal services we are providing to you. For more complicated matters we may refer you to someone who is authorised by the FSA, as we are not so authorised.

We are not authorised by the FSA. However we are included on the register maintained by the Financial Services Authority so that we can carry on insurance mediation activity, which is broadly the advising on, selling and administration of insurance contracts. This part of our business, including arrangements for complaints or redress if something goes wrong , is regulated by the Law Society. The register can be accessed via the Financial Services Authority website at www.fsa.gov.uk/register

We have diversity and equality data as required by the Law Society. However smaller firms such as ours cannot publish such workforce diversity data without the risk of identification and in such circumstances, the SRA does not expect these firms to comply with the publication requirement.

These terms and conditions may be varied by us at any time and are at our discretion. You are deemed to accept them as a user of our site.
